January 2024

January 1st 2024: UK Student Visa rules changed, restricting dependents for international students.

January 31st 2024: Visitor rules expanded, remote work allowed and new visitor routes introduced.

February 2024

February 1st 2024: Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) opens for select countries.

February 6th 2024: Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) increases by 66%.

February 13th 2024: Fines for illegal working triple under the new Civil Penalty regime.

March 2024

March 11th 2024: Care workers can’t bring dependents, care homes require CQC regulation for Health and Care Worker Visas.

March 14th 2024: New Statement of Changes replaces Shortage Occupation List (SOL) with Immigration Salary List.

April 2024

April 4th 2024: Skilled Worker visa minimum salary threshold increases to £38,700.

April 6th 2024: Renewal requirement for Sponsor Licences removed.

April 11th 2024: Minimum income requirement for Appendix FM partner applications increases to £29,000.
