Teresa, one of the founders of our business, brings a wealth of practical business expertise spanning various domains such as marketing, sales, finance, recruitment, staffing and new business ventures. Included in this is over 20 years of hands-on experience in the Immigration and Overseas Recruitment Field, her insights are invaluable.

Having previously served as a financial director in a major company, Teresa assumed the challenge of addressing a persistent staff shortage issue. She successfully resolved this problem by recruiting skilled chefs from abroad through work permits. During her recruitment trips abroad, she recognised an opportunity to bridge a skills gap within the UK. This realisation led her to establish Five Star alongside her brother, Dan Doherty.

Teresa specialises in sponsorship management, encompassing activities like Sponsor Licence applications, challenging refusals, conducting audits to ensure compliance with duties and responsibilities and the implementation of tailored HR systems for this purpose. Her profound knowledge extends not only to the hospitality industry but also to the staffing hurdles faced by various sectors across the UK. Additionally, she possesses a comprehensive understanding of crucial immigration processes and procedures.

Dan, co-director of Five Star, embarked on this journey alongside his sister Teresa nearly two decades ago, contributing significantly to the firm’s current success. His career path has taken him through various industries and sectors, equipping him with a versatile and extensive skill set.

Throughout his tenure at Five Star, Dan has amassed a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise in all facets of immigration. He now leads a team of talented professionals alongside Teresa, collectively steering the company towards excellence.

Dan possesses an intricate understanding of immigration applications, visa processes and the stringent requirements set forth by the UK Home Office. He completed an intensive training program to earn his OISC registration, making him a regulated immigration advisor. This accreditation enables him to guide clients and liaise with the Home Office throughout the entire application process, offering reliable and steadfast guidance from inception to conclusion.

Notably, Dan’s dedication to his clients knows no bounds. He has been at the forefront of some of Five Star’s most remarkable success stories, including securing Visit visas after applicants faced multiple refusals and working alongside their in-house solicitor to assist solicitors and counsel in successfully addressing various Sponsor Licence issues, up to and including revocation. His commitment to delivering exceptional results is a testament to his unwavering dedication.

Shereen, a cherished member of the Five Star team for over 8 years, holds a special place in the hearts of both our staff and clients. Her professional journey is marked by remarkable accomplishments. Notably, Shereen is not only a solicitor regulated by the Law Society of Scotland but also holds the prestigious OISC Level 3 accreditation, the highest recognition attainable for an Immigration Advisor.

Shereen is multi-lingual and has excellent knowledge of Urdu, Punjabi and Hindu as well as being highly competent in BSL.

Adam, an integral member of our team, embarked on his journey with Five Star in 2020 as a student, initially tasked with the vital project of redeveloping our website. His dedication and exceptional performance during this period led to his subsequent appointment to a work experience position and, ultimately, to his current role.

Currently pursuing a degree in computer science at Glasgow University, Adam is a dynamic individual who seamlessly blends his academic pursuits with the realms of IT, digital marketing and technology. His primary objective is to enhance the online presence of both Five Star and our sister company, Recruitment Solvers UK, through various digital channels.
Adam’s contributions extend beyond the digital sphere. He collaborates closely with our entire team to ensure the seamless functioning of our organisation’s digital systems. Janice brings over three decades of invaluable experience acquired across a diverse range of businesses.

In her current role, Janice wears many hats, overseeing our client care protocols and managing various administrative tasks. She plays a pivotal role in proactively reaching out to our Five Star clients well in advance of their visa renewal deadlines, meticulously scheduling appointments with our immigration lawyers and ensuring a smooth follow-up process.

Janice’s commitment extends beyond initial consultations. She takes meticulous care of clients who have received quotations, ensuring they receive the necessary support and information. She goes the extra mile, verifying that they have all their questions answered and, when necessary, liaising with our immigration specialists to ensure they provide additional information or follow-ups to meet the client’s needs.

Janice’s extensive experience, coupled with her attention to detail and client-centric approach, is instrumental in enhancing the overall client experience at Five Star. Her role is integral to our commitment to providing comprehensive and attentive services to our valued clients.

Rosie joined the Five Star team a little over a year ago, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous career as a nurse. Currently, she contributes to our team on a part-time basis.

In her role, Rosie plays a crucial part in the seamless operation of our day-to-day administrative functions. Her responsibilities include meticulously maintaining up-to-date documentation, logging essential paperwork and readily assisting with various administrative tasks as needed. Rosie’s unwavering commitment to detail and efficiency ensures that our administrative processes run smoothly.

Moreover, Rosie collaborates closely with our Office Manager, Natalie, to collectively uphold the smooth functioning of our business operations. Her contributions extend beyond her administrative duties, as she actively supports the team in various capacities.

Rupesh brings an impressive 20 years of diverse experience in hospitality and international logistics management. His rich professional journey includes contributions to renowned five-star hotels, top-tier restaurants and vibrant nightclubs, offering a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry.

Rupesh’s passion for knowledge-sharing led him to teach at a hotel management institute, imparting his wisdom to aspiring talents in the field. He initially joined our sister company, Recruitment Solvers UK, before becoming an invaluable part of the Five Star team.

Since joining Five Star in August 2023, Rupesh has been an integral asset to our organisation. He actively assists our directors in working with our clients in collating and compiling essential documents and information required from clients in the process of applying for a Sponsor Licence. Rupesh’s meticulous and organised approach ensures clients are kept well informed whilst they are in the stage of collating the documents and information required.

One of Rupesh’s standout qualities is his proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu languages, facilitating effective communication with a diverse clientele.

With Rupesh as our Senior Administrator in the Sponsorship Team, we benefit from his wealth of experience, dedication to detail and multi-lingual capabilities. His contributions are instrumental in helping our clients navigate the complexities of sponsorship applications, ultimately advancing their business goals in the UK.
